Grafix Surface Films Provide Durable Scratch and Stain Protection
ข่าว บริษัท ล่าสุดเกี่ยวกับ Grafix Surface Films Provide Durable Scratch and Stain Protection

Imagine if all our possessions were coated with a diamond-hard shell, making them impervious to scratches, wear, and stubborn stains. While we don't live in Tony Stark's laboratory, modern surface protection films offer the next best thing for safeguarding critical surfaces from damage.

Why Choose Surface Protection Films?

Finding protective films that are both easy to apply and remove can be challenging. Grafix Plastics addresses this need with a range of versatile surface protection films designed for various industrial applications. Unlike typical self-adhesive films that tend to tangle, Grafix's products feature convenient release paper backing, allowing them to be cut to any required sheet size or supplied in rolls for maximum flexibility.

Key Features of Surface Protection Films:

  • Easy to cut: Customizable sizes for convenient operation
  • Repositionable: Allows for adjustments after application
  • Paper release liner: Facilitates handling and minimizes bubbles
  • Moisture resistance: Protects surfaces from humidity damage
  • Easy removal: Clean peeling without residue
  • No residue: Leaves surfaces pristine after removal
  • Screen printable: Supports branding and customization
  • Excellent clarity: Maintains surface visibility

Product Lineup

Grafix offers several standard surface protection films to meet diverse application needs:

Low Tack Clear (LTC)

This 0.002-inch (approximately 0.05mm) polypropylene-based film features ultra-removable adhesive that provides secure attachment without leaving residue. Its low resin content ensures excellent transparency, while the polypropylene substrate offers superior chemical resistance.

Low Tack Matte (LTM)

Similar to LTC in thickness and substrate, this matte-finished film provides enhanced scratch resistance during handling and processing while maintaining excellent chemical resistance.

Extra Tack Matte (ETM)

This 0.001-inch (approximately 0.025mm) matte polyester film features stronger removable adhesive, making it ideal for painting and coating processes. The matte surface offers scratch resistance, while the polyester substrate ensures chemical durability.

Custom Solutions

Beyond standard products, Grafix provides customized surface protection materials tailored to specific requirements in adhesion, thickness, color, and special properties like anti-static, UV resistance, laser resistance, or flame retardancy. All standard films use thin paper release liners for versatile processing, though custom linerless rolls are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can surface protection films be recycled?

Traditionally, no. The adhesive coating and release liner would contaminate polymer recycling processes, while the plastic film facestock would contaminate paper liner recycling. These materials typically require disposal as industrial waste.

Are the films tear-resistant?

To a limited degree. The films will stretch before breaking but aren't completely tear-proof.

Are the films biodegradable?

No. The only biodegradable film products currently available are cellulose acetate films and sheets.

Do the films have good insulation properties?

Not ideally. They're designed for surface protection rather than extreme temperature exposure. However, custom pressure-sensitive adhesive films optimized for specific high or low temperature environments can be produced to meet minimum order quantities.

Are the films electrically conductive?

No. Their polyolefin substrates lack excellent heat resistance, and the adhesive coatings aren't suitable for electrical applications. For electrical uses, polyester film products are recommended.

Are the films approved for skin contact?

While physically safe for direct or indirect skin contact, the films lack formal certification for this purpose.

Are any films approved for direct food contact?

No. Other film types including cellulose acetate, specific polyester films, HDPE, and polypropylene may be suitable for food contact applications and can be provided as custom orders with sufficient production quantities.

Are the films suitable for outdoor use?

Not recommended. Prolonged moisture exposure can compromise adhesion. Outdoor use requires additional protective layers to prevent moisture exposure.

What is the heat resistance of the films?

Designed for environments below 65°C (140°F). Higher temperatures soften the adhesive, while temperatures above 140°C cause the film to lose orientation, becoming wrinkled and soft. Alternative matte film options are available for high-temperature applications.

Do the films have archival quality?

No. The single-sided adhesive coating interferes with material preservation. While pH neutral and removable, these films are designed for temporary lamination and surface protection rather than archival use.

How can the films be printed on?

Most films are compatible with screen printing, though testing with ink suppliers is recommended. The films aren't suitable for digital printing methods like inkjet or laser printing.

Additional Product Lines

Beyond surface protection films, Grafix offers innovative film products for broader applications:

DoubleTack® Double-Sided Adhesive Films

Ultra-thin carrier films coated with permanent adhesive on both sides for strong bonding in various mounting applications.

Static Cling Vinyl (PVC)

Soft, polished flexible vinyl material that adheres through static electricity without adhesive residue.

Asymmetric Light Diffuser Film (DFML)

Engineered to shape the brightness of point light sources like LEDs, creating softer, more uniform lighting when placed in front of light sources.
